It’s good to be back in the water!

After a 3 week hiatus, got back into the water today.  My hubby’s Mom passed away and we were on hand with family to pray with her and say goodbye.  More important than octopus, for sure.

But today I was able to take a day off work and got back into the water.  Six octopus, so glad I did.  No spectacular encounters, but sometimes just swimming along and seeing them in their natural habitat is a good enough thing.  And there was one small one, which I always enjoy seeing.  I’ll have to think about whether the little bit of video caught enough of him to make it worthwhile to upload….that’s the only problem with the small octopus!

No eels today at all.  Quite strange.  Three turtle views, though, always a nice sighting.

A group of threadfin butterfly fish swam by.  One trunkfish.  No flounder! All the usual suspects: orange shoulder surgeon, ringtail surgeon, trevally, including a couple of biggish ones, goatfish, one rockmover actually moving rocks. A treat.  Hard to believe they can actually move rocks that are so big!

If you want to see the octopus videos, take a peek on youtube, looking for octopigirl7.
